Landon's Epic Day

Five-year-old Landon was diagnosed with Leukemia this year, and as part of his wish from Wishes & More, he and his family went to Disney World at the end of October.  Super Heroes With Super Kids Foundation was chosen to be part of Landon’s “more” portion through Wishes & More.

On Wednesday, October 13th, Landon, his two brothers, and his Mom and Dad paid a visit to Steven Schussler’s Gizmos, Gadgets & Gears restaurant concept in St. Louis Park. Landon and his family enjoyed lunch provided by Park Tavern before being surprised with a visit from Batman!

Batman invited the group to tour his Super Hero Command Center which was filled with Super Hero video games and pinball machines, life-size superhero statues, and memorabilia, along with Schussler’s 1996 Batmobile!  Super Heroes With Super Kids Foundation Board of Director member, Mike Karch, was also onsite with his Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine van from his Crime Fighter Car collection.  The group took a few minutes to check it all out before the next surprise… a Super Hero Parade!

The St. Louis Park Police and Fire Department arrived to escort Landon and his family as they rode in the Batmobile and Mystery Machine, to Park Tavern for delicious desserts.  It was definitely an epic day and a ride of a lifetime!
